TRAM Area Supervisor

Details: Interest Category: Operations & MaintenanceJob Description: Washington Government Environmental Services, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of URS is seeking an Area Supervisor. This position is contingent upon the award of contract. Typical responsibilities include:Manage and direct all operations associated with the Throughput, Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (TRAM) operations. •Perform and document all operations activities for assigned systems in accordance with approved guidelines and test requirements. •Conducts and ensures areas are operating and maintained in a safe, environmentally sound, secure, cost effective and disciplined manner in strict compliance with approved procedures and within limitations identified in the Limited Conditions of Operations (LCO's). •Responsible for operations of the TRAM and supervision of all project personnel including maintenance, operations and support personnel. As the assigned area system expert, be responsible for Safety and Compliance IAW SAF-2.25 Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) Procedure as well as being the Certified Authorized LOTO Team Lead for your area of expertise. •Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.•Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.•May be required to work overtime or varying hours.•Be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record.•Work in close proximity to and/or in a demilitarization facility and/or military conventional weapons storage facility.•Supervise all aspects of the projects operations and maintenance. •Provide technical expertise and training for supervised personnel.•Plan, schedule and assign task to area personnel.•Develop and revise operational, maintenance and administrative procedures. •Responsible for ensuring qualified personnel are available to meet LCO requirements and operating conditions.•Ensure all employees understand and comply with safety procedures and regulations.•Operates, maintains and monitors SDC equipment and support systems.•Monitors assigned system parameters for trending toward deviation of established limits for operating conditions and performs appropraite corrective actions to prevent deviations from established paraments.•Prepare confined space, hot work and electrical permits.•Review and analyze data regrading plant operations, test plans, procedures, and reports.•Make formal apprisals of work performance and recommend corrective actions as necessary.•Review resumes of applicants and make recommendations for applicant selection.•Make periodic tours through operating areas to ensure safe and efficient operations.•Responsible for housekeeping of all areas.•Assist in all tagout issues.•Supervise hazardous waste worker duties in permitted or regulated facilities. Hazardous waste worker duties may involve one or more of the following: Movement, containerization, storage, identification, recordkeeping, emergency response and/or disposing of ammunition, explosive, and/or hazardous waste.•May be required to works shifts, weekends and holidays, as required to support processing.•Perform other duties as assigned to support the SDC project•The Area Supervisor reports to the TRAM Project Manager.We invite you to take the next step toward THE BEST WORK OF YOUR LIFE
