The supervisor will be responsible for supervising staff, reporting, and collaborating with various entities. The responsibilities will include overall supervision of the case management staff, schedule coordination, analysis and reporting of utilization data, interfacing and working closely with the Medical Director and medical staff, other departments and hospitals within the Region. This individual will also be responsible for providing excellent customer service and enhancing the patient's overall experience with Abrazo. Position serves as a clinical case management specialist and is a resource from a provider pespective. Reviews clinical services and coordinates with physicians to ensure quality and cost effective out comes. Special Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including phone etiquette, and very strong analytic skills. Must be able to utilize independent decision-making and work independently. Must be able to delegate and follow-up with assigned duties, work under stressful situations, and show initiative. Must have experience supervising or managing 10+ employees. Must have experience creating and maintaining department policies, procedures, training, reward/recognition guides. Must be able to create and maintain accurate records. Must have positive employee relations outcomes. The Case Management Supervisor must possess a critical knowledge base of nursing process, continuum of care and case management methods and standards and have expert knowledge regarding the application of UR criteria. Good documentation skills. Minimum Education: Nursing Degree from an Accredited Nursing School. 5 years recent clinical experience in acute, home health, hospice or managed care. Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Arizona. Basic computer training, InterQual criteria training within first year of hire. Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. 1-2 years supervisory experience, 3-5 years experience in Case Management, Utilization Management or Discharge Planning. Certified Case Manager, CCM.
