The consolidated organization owns and leases community hospitals that offer quality, cost-effective healthcare including a range of inpatient medical and surgical services, outpatient treatment and skilled nursing care.  In over 60 percent of the markets served, CHS-affiliated hospitals are the sole provider of healthcare services.   Community Health Systems Professional Services Corporation seeks a Pharmacy Informatics Manager for its Franklin, TN, headquarters’ Operations Support team. The Pharmacy Informatics Manager position is a clinical and systems management position that will assist in the development of the Corporate model and templates for the deployment of CPOE to local hospitals; Assist in the development the governance and ongoing management structure of the program of the program and the local programs and oversee the process at local facilities; Develop the training and trainers and manage the training of the local Physicians, nurses and Pharmacists; Complete assessments of work flow and practices, identify gaps and develop plans for effective design and localization of the systems and processes to be used.  Assist the hospital, IS, and corporate team in the successful deployment of Clinical Documentation, CPOE, and other aspects of the HER.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.  • Analyze work flow and system utilization and develop a plan for the deployment of Clinical Documentation, and CPOE at local hospitals utilizing the corporate models and standardized tools• Work with the medical staff to localize evidence based order sets consistent with good practice, existing formulary and policy.  Assist in the development of new processes and procedures when required• Work effectively with nursing, pharmacy, and physician staff to develop, plan, coordinate and address issues with clinical documentation and CPOE• Work with clinicians in the clinical care environment• Assist in the development of the Corporate models and templates• Assist the local hospital in establishing an effective governance structure and facilitate the meetings• Develop effective training programs, train the trainers, and manage the training process through the local hospital Education departments• Coordinate with appropriate corporate departments such as Clinical Services and QualityPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
